Dr. Michael Poon is a staff urologist for KP Orange County Department of Urology. He graduated from the University of Southern California School of Medicine. He completed his 2 years of general surgery there then completed his urology residency at Loma Linda University. He was in private practice for 7 years before joining Kaiser Permanente.
Dr. Poon's area of expertise include laparoscopic surgery of the prostate and kidney and endourology. He was the first to perform basic and advanced laparoscopic procedures in California's Central Coast and has taught community urologists both laparoscopic and robotic prostatectomy.
